writing and me

I have always been a writer.  Most of us are, I think; it's just that some of us don't have the time or the drive to go that route.  From writing little stories as a child, to participating in NaNoWriMo yearly and even submitting my work for publication, this is what I live for.  I am never happier working than when I am working on a story.  It's hard, but November is now my favorite month.  Writing is not a job, it's a way of life.  Everything can be an idea...

The work

  • Papers :: A collection of papers that I wrote mostly in college, but that I found retained value  They cover subjects from geology to literature.
  • Reviews :: These book reviews, save one, were published in Inscriptions Magazine (and yes, I was paid for them).
  • Poetry ::  I started writing poetry in middle school, but after college, I was struck with inspiration for poetry worthy of publication.
  • Fiction :: As primarily a fiction writer, this page collects some of my inspirations and personal reflections on writing science fiction and fantasy.
  • NaNoWriMo :: This is my collection of NaNoWriMo pages, one for each year, containing my word counts and thoughts as I progressed.

A lady writing

I hope to never have to give up my writing dreams, and that I will be able to continue to write for a very long time.  Until then, I am the mistress of my own future and, so long as these hands can hold pen, ink will leave evidence of my passage.
