book reviews :: inscriptions magazine
For two years, I wrote book reviews geared toward writers for Inscriptions Magazine, edited by Jade Walker. They were published under my maiden/pseudonym J. Anne Mauck. Yes, that is Anne with an 'e'. These books were drawn for the reviewers from a pool, we chose the genres we would like to work with.
The reviews
- "Strange Currency" by Daniel Sendecki
- "Honorable Intentions" by Dorothy Compton
- "Into the Fire" by Norma McPhee
- "Of Honor and Treason" by C.J. Merle
- "The Windseeker" by Charlotte Boyett-Compo
- "Ripples" by Anne Manning
- "Starkissed" by Lanette Curington
- "Cancer Stick #94,912 and Other Poems" by Coke Brown Jr.
booknotes
There was only one book that I read for reviews that I truly became a fan of: Starkissed. I've been following Lannette Curington's work ever since.
