| Shadowfangs are a rare snake that seem to have ties to nethermantic experiments. Though fairly small, these creatures are vicious hunters, and their black scales and red eyes have often been the last things a Name Giver sees. They do not seem to feed as normal snakes, instead drawing sustenance from the life force of their victims. Their misty breath is evidence of this, as small amounts of energy escape for a short time after feeding. The shadowfang's poison paralyzes its victim, as well as begins an external digestive process, turning blood into an energy suitable for the snake to ingest. They are typically found in small groups, occupying rocky environments in areas with tainted astral space. |
