Bladehawks are one of the most vicious and brutal species known in Barsaive. Born in the corrupted metal forest, east of the Throal mountains, only violent competition with the other creatures in that area has kept this animal from spreading, and destroying wildlife across the entire province. Hunting both alone and in groups, they live only to destroy, attacking anything resembling prey, and to them, everything is prey. They have no sense of self-preservation, attacking anything from small rodents to dragons, and while some species can defend themselves better than others from this threat, many Name Givers have been lost in attempts to clear Artificer's Forest of these creatures. No longer flesh and blood, bladehawks are living metal: skin, feathers, beak and talons. Nearly impervious to most normal weapons, even magic seems to simply roll off their silvered bodies. Not much is known about their feeding and breeding habits, as the only good way to get close to these corrupted creatures is to kill them.

GM Note:
Reports detailing Artificer's Forest will be found elsewhere among these documents.
