These amulets can appear as anything, from a rough stone to an
engraved ring. The ability of these objects cost one karma to activate.
Since these items can be picked up and carried without the wielders
knowledge of their powers, they often affect actions without the
anyone knowing. If examined astrally, it is evident that these objects
carry some sort or magic, but only someone well versed in the subject
of magical items would be able to tell its true use. Most often,
however, amulets are not found, so much as they are created, as
minor pattern items. Such a creation can be used as a reward or
penalty for players. Note that the ability can be activated without
the wielders knowledge, and so may affect the number of karma points
available.
Amulet of Luck
When invoked, this amulet allows a reroll of one test, and adds
the karma die to the result.
Amulet of Good Luck
When invoked, this amulet allows a reroll of one test, takes the
highest of the two rolls, and adds the karma die to the result.
Amulet of Bad Luck
When invoked, this amulet rerolls one test, takes the lowest of
the two rolls, and subtracts the karma die from the result. |
